Privacy at a Glance
- No data collection: We don't collect, store, or track any of your personal information
- Syncs to YOUR iCloud: All your gratitude entries, meditation sessions, and preferences sync to your personal iCloud account across your devices
- We have no access: Your data lives in your private iCloud account - we cannot see or access it
- Optional HealthKit: You can choose to sync meditation data with Apple Health, but we never see it
- No accounts required: No sign-ups, no passwords - just your Apple ID for iCloud sync
Our Commitment to Your Privacy
Mindful Moments is built with privacy as a core principle. Your mindfulness practice is personal, and we believe it should stay that way.
What Information We DON'T Collect
We do not collect, transmit, store, or have access to:
- Your gratitude entries or journal content
- Your meditation session data
- Your breathing exercise records
- Personal information (name, email, phone number, etc.)
- Usage analytics or statistics
- Device identifiers or location data
- Any data from HealthKit integration
How Your Data is Stored
Your data syncs to your personal iCloud account. All information you enter in Mindful Moments—including your handwritten gratitude entries, meditation session history, and app preferences—is stored in your personal iCloud account using Apple's CloudKit framework.
This means:
- Your data syncs automatically across all your iOS/iPadOS devices signed in with the same Apple ID
- Your data is stored in your private iCloud account, not on our servers
- We (the app developer) have no access to your iCloud data
- Your iCloud data is protected by Apple's encryption and your Apple ID credentials
- You can manage your iCloud storage through your device's Settings
We do not operate any servers or cloud storage systems. All data synchronization is handled entirely by Apple's iCloud service between your devices.
HealthKit Integration (Optional)
Mindful Moments offers an optional integration with Apple HealthKit to sync your meditation sessions with the Apple Health app. This feature:
- Requires your explicit permission before activation
- Only shares data directly between Mindful Moments and Apple Health on your device
- We (the app developer) have no access to any HealthKit data
- Can be disabled at any time through iOS Settings
- All HealthKit data is governed by Apple's privacy policies
If you choose not to enable HealthKit integration, the app functions normally without any limitations.
Third-Party Services
Mindful Moments does not integrate with any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services. The app is completely self-contained.
Children's Privacy
Mindful Moments is suitable for users of all ages. Since we don't collect any personal information, there is no data from children (or anyone else) that could be collected or stored.
iCloud Sync & Storage
Mindful Moments uses Apple's CloudKit to sync your data across your devices. Your gratitude entries, meditation history, and preferences are stored in your personal iCloud account and synchronized automatically across all devices where you're signed in with the same Apple ID.
This iCloud integration is handled entirely by Apple, and we have no access to your iCloud data. Your data remains private and is protected by Apple's security measures and your Apple ID authentication.
Data Security
Your data is protected by multiple layers of security:
- Your device passcode or biometric authentication (Face ID/Touch ID)
- iOS's built-in encryption and security measures
- Apple's iCloud encryption and security infrastructure
- Your Apple ID authentication protecting your iCloud account
Changes to This Privacy Policy
If we make changes to this privacy policy, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. Any changes will be posted on this page and, if significant, may be communicated through an in-app notification.
Your Rights
Since we don't collect any of your data and it's stored only in your personal iCloud account, there is no data for us to access, modify, or delete. You have complete control over your information because it's in your private iCloud storage. To delete your data:
- Delete the app from all your devices to remove local data
- Manage iCloud data through your device Settings > [Your Name] > iCloud > Manage Storage
- Your data is automatically removed from iCloud when you delete the app from all devices
